Biography[]
Maria Bello was born on April 18th, 1967. At Maria's university, she enrolled in an acting class, and discovered her natural talent for the craft. She began acting in small, off-Broadway productions, including The Killer Inside Me, Small Town Gals With Big Problems, and Urban Planning, prior to appearing as a guest star on several television shows such as The Commish (1991), Nowhere Man (1995), Misery Loves Company (1995), and Due South (1994).
Maria's career breakthrough came, when producers, Kenny Lenhart and John J. Sakmar, both cast her as Mrs. Smith in the spy show Mr. & Mrs. Smith (1996). Although the show was canceled after only eight weeks, Maria continued to build her reputation, and was subsequently offered a guest spot on ER (1994) as Dr. Anna Del Amico. She eventually become a regular cast member.
