Jordan Forster was a recurring character in the Netflix series, Beef.
Biography[]
Jordan is a very wealthy investor who is interested in buying Amy's business. However, she makes Amy work for it by insisting that they develop a personal relationship before doing business. Jordan invites Amy to her home and on lavish business trips, seeming to be very impressed by her.
Eventually, Jordan buys Amy's business. She ends up dating Naomi, her brother's ex-wife, and they both seem happier than ever. Jordan eventually gets bored of Naomi, calling her too attentive. She chats with Amy at her house one evening. Naomi answers the door, and burglars in masks are waiting. They pull guns on the women, and start to rob Jordan's belongings. Jordan and Naomi both get a chance to run away, so they run in the direction of a safe room. Naomi presses the close button before Jordan gets in, and Jordan dies after getting crushed by the door closing. This causes Naomi to receive post-traumatic stress and Michael to vomit uncontrollably.
Physical appearance[]
Jordan is petite with long blonde hair. She is always seen in expensive clothing and jewelry, often advertising her wealth with her attire. She has also been seen as very attractive, with Isaac commenting on her beauty on a call with Amy.
Personality[]
Jordan has a confident, yet manipulative personality. She constantly flaunts her wealth at every opportunity, with her living space and person being adorned with expensive items. She is also rather culturally insensitive or prejudice, assuming Naomi's attentiveness is because of her background as well as Amy's, asking her if she has any connections to China. Jordan admits to Amy that she is often very two-faced with others during work, and that she has no filter anywhere else, which often results in her being seen as inconsiderate and downright insulting.
Jordan is incredibly materialistic, buying things for no other reason than the simple fact that she wants them, such as buying a large assortment of crowns and wearing them with little respect for the history behind them, as well as buying a Tamago chair from George, which is implied she only wants it to feel as if she is capable of buying anything she wants, as his constant reluctance and even refusal to sell the chair, did not deter her from attempting to purchase it. It also extremely telling to her personality, that despite her absurd amount of wealth, she had little-to-no security cameras inside of her house, aside from a panic room, and she was very unprepared for robberies and assailants, making her come off as careless and negligent.
Her materialism and caustic attitude both end up being keys to her downfall. The Tamago chair that she bought months earlier is used to impede her escape from the burglars, who broke into her home, and her contemptuous attitude towards Naomi ends with her unwilling to wait for Jordan, long enough to enter the panic room with her, closing the door too early and inadvertently causing her death. Jordan is bisected by the panic room door, as Naomi is forced to await police with half the corpse of her girlfriend.
