Childhood[]

In 1987, Danny was born at the same time as Amy Lau, and Danny was born in South Korea. Danny is the first child of his migrant parents from South Korea. As a toddler, he didn't have any friends at his school's playground. A little kid arrived to "befriend" Danny to offer him to hook him up with girls. However, that kid lied to Danny by bullying him, while being racist to him. Out of revenge, Danny pushed his bully into the ground to attempt to beat him up until his bully managed to get him off, delivering several blows on Dan. Because of this, Danny developed short-temper issues and a violent, psychotic behavior towards anyone trying to get close to him.

Although, approximately 5 years later, Paul Cho was born as Danny's younger brotherrrrrrrrrr making him the only person that Danny only managed to bond with. While Danny and Paul were on their bed at night time, Danny whispered and promised to a sleeping Paul that he won't be lonely anymore, as long as Paul stays with him forever. As a result, Danny went to extreme and dishonest lengths for his brother to remain at his side by driving away anyone wanting to "steal" his brother from him, and tossing away his brother's college applications in the trash years later.

Biography[]

Danny is a troubled individual who is going through a tough time in his life. He owns a contracting business that is not doing well, and he is shown to be frustrated with his financial situation. Danny is also coping with his mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, as shown by his desire to commit suicide himself, using the hibachi grills that he keeps buying when he detests himself for failing constantly in life. Not to mention in a mania episode, Danny experiences delusions of grandeur and constant mood changes as a drunk, while ranting excessively nonstop when he talks down his own brother for not trying to hook up with a white girl over an Asian woman, in a racist manner, at a local bar, despite having a good time with him shortly from before. Danny has a strained relationship with his younger brother/roommate, Paul, and disapproves of Paul's bad investments in cryptocurrency.

Outside of a store, Danny has a road rage incident with Amy, who flips him off with her middle finger when Danny accidentally almost hit her car with his truck. This sets off a series of events, in which they both try to get back at the other one. Danny is fueled by his rage against Amy, and he seems to resent her for being wealthy and well off, unlike himself who struggles with money, work, and romantic relationships.

Danny befriends George Nakai, pretending to be a friendly biker named "Zane", as a part of his plan to manipulate Amy. He and George both form a friendship. After Amy tells George the truth about Danny and he arrives to an event at their house as "Zane", George is upset at being placed in the middle. When Danny travels to George's house, not realizing George knows the truth, he tries to plant a glove of Amy's to frame her for the fire at his parents' house. George pulls a gun at Danny and Danny assaults him, knocking him out. He drives away in a rush, unknowingly taking George's daughter, June, and her beloved dog. Danny doesn't know what to do, so he goes home with June and tells Paul to call Amy to tell her that June is okay.

Unfortunately, Isaac Cho suddenly gets out of jail, and he shows up with his friends at Danny's apartment. They attack Danny and tie him up along with Paul after Danny framed Isaac for the road rage incident, taking them and June to Jordan's house to rob her. Things go awry, but Danny and Paul both manage to escape. Before Paul attempts to help his brother to climb over a wall, Danny, being affected so much by many disastrous events that had occurred to him, confesses to Paul that he is the one who burned their parents' home, and he threw over his college applications to prevent from being accepted into a university. Being very confused and mad at Danny for holding him back throughout his life, Paul goes over a wall at Jordan's house, but Danny hears gunshots and thinks he is dead.

Danny escapes out of a drain, and he gets into one of Jordan's cars. He drives away, but witnesses Amy on the way, chasing him in Jordan's car. They both drive off of a cliff and end up hurt, stranded, and lost in the desert for some time. There, they both fight each other, but eventually bond, since they discuss with each other of how they are the same person, especially vomiting and hallucinating to communicate with each other in their swapped bodies after eating poisonous berries. Finally, they find their way out. Sadly for Danny and Amy, Paul is revealed to be alive in Danny's phone text message along with blocking him on text, and George encounters them, believing that Danny is out to harm Amy by shooting Danny at point-blank range.

Danny ends up in the hospital, where Amy waits by his side every time on a bed. He is in a critical condition, but at the end of the first season, he moves his arm, indicating that he is recovering from his gunshot wound.

Physical appearance[]

Danny is Asian-American. He has average height, and he often wears professional clothing, such as a button-down shirt and dress pants, meant for contracting and attending church. Other times, he just wears a hoodie, a long-sleeved shirt, and sweat pants as comfortable, casual clothing.

Personality[]

Danny is a nice and respectful guy on the surface, but with a sad, borderline condescending, vengeful, crazy, and aggressive side behind closed doors as well. He doesn't appreciate being taken advantage of, and doesn't mind turning up the heat on someone else, even if a statement towards him is a joke or an opinion. Also, he tends to lie pathologically to get what he wants at the cost of others' well-beings.
